This day in area sports history: Feb. 6

1958: Indians outfielder Minnie Minoso turns down a $40,000 one-year deal,  telling General Manager Frank Lane “not enough money” in a note attached to the unsigned returned contract, and the Barons fall, 3-1, at Springfield.
