This day in area sports history: Feb. 16

1981: Jody McMillan has 36 points as the Lake Erie women’s basketball team defeats Notre Dame College, 63-42, and Mayfield, Benedictine and Hawken gets votes but don’t crack the top 10 in the state boys basketball poll.
